This exhibition is a collaboration with graphic designer, Erik Wong, www.erikwong.nl. I created the installations onsite while he simultaneously developed the bookwork. Coming Soon is structured around an imaginary film set, where upon entering the rudimentary warehouse gallery, the viewer is confronted with a collection of handmade ladders reaching up to the second story. They are precarious and without hope for safety. Is someone trying to get out or climb in? Further into the space, there are a series of 15 large posters, propped up for selection. On them read excerpts from Edgar Allan Poe's, "William Wilson" - a short story about a man’s haunting double that he cannot escape. Upstairs are black paper costumes, all of which refer to the incarnation of a fool: Collarhead, Pantshead, Capehead and Donkeyhead.
